Power in Prayer

Prayer is a strong wall and fortress of the church; it is a goodly Christian weapon.— Martin Luther

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16

I do believe that prayer is the number one neglected weapon of the church. Yet, the Bible speaks so much of it. From the first prayer in Genesis 4:26 to the last prayer in Revelation 22:20, they have all been about communicating with God; about getting in touch with the creator, about sharing our burdens, about praising Him for something He has done, about pleading with Him to do something, about honoring Him with our words, or even just a simple—thank you Lord!

How is your prayer life? If you were to measure the successes in your life by your prayers—how would it be? Lord, help us to have a prayer life that will be Christ honoring!
