Ambassador

WHO ARE YOU REPRESENTING?

Your actions will show who you work for.

2 Corinthians 5:20, Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

We were in Bojangles yesterday with some friends after the evening service and the manager had a nice uniform on. He had a head piece in to run the drive-through if needed. He had a name tag that identified him as the manager. But none of that really show me that he was the manager. What showed me that he was the manager (and a good one) was that; he was very professional. He talked with his staff with respect. He treated the customers as investors in his company. He was different than the other staff members.

Hey friend, if you’re a child of God, you’re one of His ambassadors. You are working for someone and something greater than anything on this earth! You are working for the King of kings and Lord of lords. You are representing him no matter where you go. At work- yep, an ambassador! At school- yep, an ambassador! At the grocery store- yep, an ambassador! In the gym- yep, an ambassador! At the beach- yep, an ambassador! In the mountains- yep, an ambassador!

MY SINS ARE GONE- DO I LIVE LIKE IT?

I thought I could have leaped from earth to heaven at one spring when I first saw my sins drowned in the Redeemer's blood. –Spurgeon

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1 Peter 1:18-19

There is a peace that passes all understanding in knowing my sins have been forgiven! Not by any works I have done but by God’s Amazing Grace He saved me! In His redeeming blood comes an awesome privilege to represent our Saviour wherever we go, whatever we do, whatever we say, or whomever we are with. Many people have forgotten that little truth; no matter where we go we are ambassadors of Jesus!

We rejoice that our sins have been washed away but are we representing Him in a way that will bring Him honor and glory?
