HEAVENLY HOST

God’s choir sings like no other!

Luke 2:13, And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

I’ve heard some great choirs in my time! Some choirs sing some songs better than others. Some articulate every word, hit every note, and are in accord with one another so much, it’s like one person singing in a 100-person choir. But none of that compares to the choir the night Jesus was born! I don’t know exactly how many a “multitude of Heavenly host” are but if they were an army of angels, that would have been between 400,000 and 1,000,000 of angels bellowing out praises to the new born King! One commentator said, “It is amazing to consider that heavenly host stretched from horizon to horizon to witness the most amazing event in the history of the universe.”

Hey friend, enjoy the miracles of God’s Work and quit trying to explain everything away with human possibilities!

ANGELS, NOT PASSED LOVE ONES HELP GOD’S CHILDREN

Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Psalm 103:20

            While many would believe that angels are saved loved ones who have already made their trip to Heaven, nowhere in the Word of God do we find this. What we do find is these heavenly beings were created to do as the creator has said. I see throughout scripture where angels have been there to help humanity. I see where they have encouraged, opened tombs, warded off the enemy, announced the birth of the Messiah, stopped animals in their tracks, delivered messages from God, and even appeared in dreams.

            What a blessing it is to have angels to help us in our time of need. The greater blessing is that our Heavenly Father directs them to where our need is. For the angels are only doing His will!

WHAT ARE ANGELS?

             Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2

            The messengers of God we call angels were created by God for a two-fold purpose; To glorify God and to do His will. You may ask, “Where do you find that?” Well, I’m glad you asked! I find it in Job 38:4-7, “Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

            God told Job the angels watched His handy work of creation and rejoiced about it! So before Adam and Eve were created, God had angels with Him. So, when a love one dies they do not become an angel, they graduate from this earthen vessel to a heavenly body. Bodies that never grow old, never have cancer, never break a leg, nor gets hungry. What a day that will be my friend! But until then, we have angels taking care of us until we reach that Heavenly City!

The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Psalm 34:7

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalm 91:11
