MISSED BLESSINGS

While you’re messing around with temporal things today, you’re missing out on eternal blessings from the Lord.

Psalm 103:1-2, Blessed is the man who is busy doing the Lord’s work during the day and too tired at night to follow mischief. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Last night, I was able to attend a meeting in which the message was centered on 2 Samuel 12:8. Brother Mike Qualls brought out how David had it all; He was King, He had been delivered from Saul, He had strength from the Lord, and more. Yet, David was not content with what God had blessed Him with and he committed adultery with Uriah’s wife.

The Word of God says that David would have had more blessings if he had trusted in the Lord. But David didn’t and it cost him big time! He lost some of his family to the world. He lost a son. He suffered from his choice!

How many blessings are you willing to miss out on while you mettle in the temporal things of this world? Child of God, God has blessings for you but if you continue to mettle in sin, you will miss out on some of the blessings God had just for you!

Give up and let God work it out!

Blessings come down as the prayers go up!

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalm 37:4

So many try to fight against what God wants for their life. When they do, it’s like trying to swim upstream of a water fall! We are not fish people! If you are a Christian, when you fight against God’s will you, like Jonah, may end up in the belly of a whale! But if you follow in His will for your life… things fall into place time and time again!

Temptations endured equals blessings to follow.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12

I wished that every time I have been tempted I could say, “I endured”. But the truth of the matter is; I have often failed. I have often succumbed to the temptations the world, the devil, and most of all my wicked flesh throw at me. We should be reminded that; “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” As well as, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13” But as children of God when we find ourselves succumbed to sin be reminded HE forgives!—“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9”
