Done

DONE

To find one's work is to find one's place in the world. -Cabot

Hebrews 10:12-13, But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

Many people spend their entire life trying to find what they want to do for a living. They go to school for this, they go to school for that. They bounce from this job to that job. They never find true contentment in their occupation; they clock in, do their job, and collect a pay check. Life is more than that! Life is knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt you are slap dab in the will of God!

When Jesus was just a boy, He asked His parents, “How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?” On the Cross, He said, “It is finished!” Jesus knew why He was on this earth and He wasn’t about to be distracted from it; all they way to the Cross!

CHECK LIST CHRISTIANS

Look at who He is, and what He has done; not at what you are or what you have done.

1 Corinthians 10:31, Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

I tithe- check. I attend church- check. I sing in the choir, help with the youth ministry, and teach Sunday School- check, check, CHECK! Some Christians literally think that serving God is all about the check list of what they need to do in order to be accepted by God. However, the Bible says, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” It’s not about a check list. Whatever we do should be out of the love we have for Him. No other reason is sufficient.

YOU SAY CAN’T- GOD SAYS DONE

You can fully trust God even when the circumstances seem to be impossible. —Paul Chappell

Psalm 37:5, Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Oft times, there have been times in our lives when we say I can’t do this. We are so weighted down with a burden that we lose hope, thinking we have no help. Then, one of those, “But God” moments happens. When He steps in and takes care of business. When He says, “It’s Done!”

There are many of those moments in scripture and you can have one too, if you trust fully in Him!

IS YOUR SALVATION DOING OR IS IT DONE?

A great many people are trying to make peace, but that has already been done. God has not left it for us to do; all we have to do-is to enter into it. - D.L. Moody

I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. John 17:4

Reflecting back on a book I recently read, “DONE”, By Cary Schmidt, I echo the thoughts of the writer, Jesus has accomplished everything we need for salvation! The sacrifice was secured, the price was paid, the offering received, the blood applied, and the debt cancelled! All you have to do is repent and believe on the Lord Jesus and be saved! (“…Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.”)
