GODLY DADS AND MOMS NEEDED

We need Godly fathers and mothers for kids like we need oxygen to breathe.

Psalm 68:5, A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

We have an issue in the world today with children being without fathers. There is an outright attack on the home. Not just the minority home, but all homes! It should alarm us that according to one article, as many as 25-percent of children in the U.S. live in households with a mother alone. That is over 18 million children who do not live with a father figure. Additionally, father-only households were noted at just 8 percent. Meaning the children’s mother was not present. That’s 33% of every home in America being a one parent home! Friend, Satan is having a field day with families!

We are living in terrible times when men and women are so selfish, they can’t see the need of being a parent to their children, husbands to their wives, and wives to their husbands! Both are more concerned with their cars, phones, and next relationship that they neglect the greatest gift that God has ever given them; their child. But praise God, He has never left us! He has never forsaken us! He is faithful, even when we are not!

Hey, Dad- Hey Mom, how about being the Christian God wants you to be! Quit being so stinking selfish and learn how to put God first, others second, and yourself last and you will find that joy you’re missing!

FAITHFUL IN THE LITTLE THINGS

Who doth small things well will prove to higher trusts most true. -Anonymous

Matthew 25:21  His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

If you can’t do the small things God has asked you to do, why would you remotely think God would use you to do great things? God has told us to tell others about Him, give our tithes and offerings, to attend church, and so much more that we forsake Him in! Those things we think as so little are huge in God’s eyes. Our tithes and offerings are what fund the church and missionaries. Our church attendance helps us grow in the Lord and we become a blessing in others lives! Sharing the Good News of the Gospel is more valuable than anything any of us can do.

Stop skipping church! Start sharing the Gospel! Start and paying your tithes and offerings! Be faithful in the little things and God will grow you and take care of you!

KEEP YOUR WORD!

Ecclesiastes 5:5, Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

Many people have forgotten the hand shake commitment. You know, when a man would shake another man’s hand and that was better than any attorney written contract. Those days have long gone when it comes to men. But God doesn’t change and the same Word He proclaimed in the Bible are still binding today!

Child of God, always be faithful to your commitments to the Lord. If you say you’re going to do something for Him, do it. He has and will continue to fulfill His Word to you!

It’s one thing to not keep your word to a friend, co-worker, or pastor but when you make a commitment to the Lord and don’t keep it- woe is you!!!

BE FAITHFUL

There is a huge need for routine faithfulness in our life!

For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses. 2 Kings 18:6

It says in verse six of 2 Kings 18, Hezekiah clave to the Lord. That word clave means to hold fast to, to cling hold of, and I like this definition; to be in hot pursuit. While this world has its definition of “Christianity”, the Bible describes it totally different. The world says, you take your religion too far. You wear your Christianity on your shoulders. You are a religious fanatic. No! No! No! I don’t have a religion, I have a relationship with Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and Saviour! He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. His not just a crutch, He’s the legs that I walk on! In reality, He’s my everything! Without Him, I would be nothing, going nowhere, without purpose in this life! But oh with Him friend, we are saved to the uttermost! We can face the highest mountain and our Saviour can remove it out of our way. We just have to remain faithful!

I believe I’ll GET UP, GET READY, and GO TO CHURCH showing my love for the Lord this morning to a lost, dying, and hurting world. Who will go with me?

BE FAITHFUL

Being faithful is more than going to church on Sunday.

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:2

A steward is one who has been given a responsibility. A steward or stewardess on an airplane has the responsibility of taking care of the needs of those flying in the airplane. A conductor (a steward on a train) has the responsibility of taking care of the people on the train. As stewards, Christians have been entrusted with the Good News of the Gospel to teach and preach to the sinner and to the saint.

What a great responsibility! We shouldn’t take that responsibility flippantly. We ought to be faithfully serving our Saviour not just on Sunday morning but every second of every day. There is no time to sit down, take a break, or shut up. We as blood bought, born again Christians need to stand up, stand fast, speak up, being faithful to our Saviour!

God has put a high standard on faithfulness. As a matter of fact He requires it. What area of your life is lacking in faithfulness? What will you do to get where you need to be with the Lord?

HOW IS YOUR WALK WITH CHRIST?

Every Christian is either a missionary or an imposter. -Spurgeon

Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well: Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles. 3 John 1:6-7

When I was growing up we had baseball tryouts. This is when any young man trying out for the team would compete for an opportunity to play ball. Every young man would give it his best shot but there were more guys than spots on the team so someone had to get cut. What made the difference? What cause one fella to stand out more than another? What caused the coach to cut one boy and allow another to be on the team? Two words come to my mind; faithfulness and fruitfulness.

Notice what the John tells Gaius, “…thou shalt do well”. John didn’t commend Gaius on his social status, his economic wealth, or anything else. What John commended Gaius for was his walk with Jesus. It was a faithful and fruitful walk. Anything less would have caused John not to mention Gaius at all.

How is your walk with the Lord? Is it faithful and fruitful? Will you hear Him say, “Well done?”

HE CAN’T DO THAT!

A liar is not believed even though he tells the truth. -Cicero

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; Titus 1:2

If God told one lie, He could not be believed in anything else He said. Since He can’t lie we have nothing to worry about! Everything He has said He would do, He will!

When He said He created in everything in 6 literal days—He did! When He said He would never leave thee nor forsake thee—He won’t! When He said He would remain faithful, even when you are not—He meant it! When He said He was coming again, He will!

Don’t forget… God cannot tell a lie!

BE FAITHFUL

It is not faith and works; it is not faith or works; it is faith that works. –Anonymous

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:2

Being faithful to Jesus requires more than just saying we are it requires us to invest our time, our talents, and even our treasures in what He says is necessary. It requires us to invest in His church, in His work of missions, in His people, and the lost, dying, and hurting people of this world.

Are you walking the talk or are you just blowing hot air? To get a good analyst of your life look at your checkbook—it will reveal a lot about what you’re faithful to.

HIS WAYS ARE NOT OUR WAYS

When we would give up hope on people, He remains faithful to His purpose!

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 1 Peter 3:18-20

Many days we wonder why the wicked prosper. We are just like some of the saints in the Word of God. In Luke 9:51-56, James and John wanted God to send fire down for judgment on the wicked. In Jeremiah 12, we see the weeping prophet calling out to the Lord complaining about the wicked being prosperous. He wanted God to slaughter them. If these men got their eyes off of the Who of salvation, questioned the why of God’s motives, and complained about the way He did things, don’t you think it can happen to you as well? Sure it Can!

Lord, help us to be as longsuffering as you are! Help me to love the sinner and hate the sin! Help me to love the sinner I once was!

GOD'S BEEN GOOD!

Earth, with her thousand voices, praises God. –Coleridge

Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Psalm 33:1

Several years ago I went out for an early hunt. I got to my tree seat and it was pitch black. As the sun began to come up, I was looking up to the sky and I saw the dark tree limbs clapping in the wind. I was sitting there thinking about how even those trees where singing a song unto the Lord.

In Luke 19 the Pharisees wanted the Lord to rebuke the multitude of disciples that were saying, “Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.” But Jesus Himself said, “I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”

Friend, we all have something we can praise the Lord for! Even if it’s nothing but the device you’re reading this post on! God’s Been Good in our lives!

Who’s got your six?

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Each of us needs to have someone that will have our backs in the valleys and on the mountain tops. Such a friend will Love you Unconditionally, Protect you by all means, Encourage you in your walk with the Lord, They will be found faithful and true, and they will share!

Friend, Jesus did all that and more for you! He loved us while we were His enemy. He protects us. He encourages us in His Word. He has been found faithful and true! He has shared with us His grace and mercy which we did not nor do not deserve! Friend, Jesus has our six…but who’s six do you have? Your spouse needs you. Your kids need you. Your church family needs you. Don't quit now…someone needs you to have their six!

My Faith Helps Me and Those around Me!

Real true faith is man's weakness leaning on God's strength. -D.L. Moody

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:2

Some may wonder why they are not used of God. Well, if they would be faithful in the little things God gives, He would probably give them larger things to do. But I have seen in time and time again instead of people leaning on God’s strength, in faith, they go about life trying to do it on their own, thus falling flat on their face. Child of God, whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men! When we do….He gets the glory and He takes care of His people!
