LORD

JESUS— Liar, Lunatic, or LORD? C.S. Lewis

Jesus Christ is light to the eye, honey to the taste, music to the ear, joy to the heart. –Spurgeon

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Do you think Jesus was a liar? That He come to deceive a multitude in order to gain some influence over them? Here’s one problem with that notion—no one has ever lied that good for so many years. People tell a lie and then tell another to cover up the one they told. Eventually they get caught!

Do you think Jesus was a lunatic, a crazy man that brain washed millions? One problem with that is He met many of the prophecies of the Messiah. I believe Jesus met over 130 prophecies about Him. From the place of His birth to His betrayal He met them to the tee! How could a crazy man do that?

I proclaim to you HE is LORD! The First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, The Alpha and Omega. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

MAN’S ONLY HOPE—JESUS

When you say a situation or a person is hopeless, you are slamming the door in the face of God. –Allen

Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: Psalm 146:5

There are people we come in contact every day of the week in need of The Saviour. Many of them we have condemned to hell because we do not believe God will save them. This happens because there is a disconnect between our understanding of who God is and at what links He has gone and will go to save someone. Let me take a moment to remind us all that JESUS left heaven to sacrificially give of Himself to die for man’s sin. There was not any certain sins but for all sin! So, Child of God the next time you see the drug addict, the whore monger, the reprobate, the scorner, the liar, the thief, or the adulterer be reminded that JESUS died for their sin too!

LORD WILLING!

There is but one question, and that is the will of God. That settles all other questions.—William E. Gladstone

For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. James 4:15

Many people think they will live forever. They have the mentality of well I’m just going to spread my wild oats and then I will start serving God. The problem with that is they rarely do. Many become drunkards, not caring about God’s Word, Will, or Ways. Some become business men, not having enough time to serve God. Others die, to spend eternity in Hell because they never trusted the Lord for salvation.

Friend, don’t put off tomorrow what you can have today! Trust in the Lord for salvation! Get busy serving Him! Why? You’re not guaranteed tomorrow! Consider with me: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
