GET FED FROM GOD’S WORD

Beware where you get your food from, a corrupt meal, make for long lights!

Matthew 6:11, Give us this day our daily bread.

In Jesus’ model prayer, we see the Bible conveying the message that we are to get fed from the Lord daily. It’s not just on special occasions that we need a healthy meal of God’s Word. We need His word to be ingested every single day! Without it we will just shrivel up and fade away!

How is your diet of God’s Word? Are you on a diet from it? If so, get back to being fed from GOD’S WORD before you starve and become useless to the Lord!

GET SOME GRUB

Our Spiritual food is more important than that which is physical.

Luke 4:4, And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Have you ever heard the terminology, “Being Hangry”? It is when you haven’t gotten any physical food for your body in a while and it begins to affect your character. Instead of being your happy, go lucky self you snap at your spouse, swat at the kids, and kick the dog; just because your stomach is empty.

I wonder how often that happens when are suffering from Spiritual starvation. I wonder, when we don’t get into the Word of God who all it affects. I wonder if we lash out in anger toward every one around us. I wonder… do I need to get something more than grub?

Child of God, pick up your Bible and get fed today so you don’t have to worry about lashing out in anger toward friends and family. Solomon, under the inspiration of God, tells us in Proverbs 30:5, Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

WHERE ARE YOU GETTING FED?

“…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

It is imperative you and I get in the Word of God to get fed. Without the Word of God in our hearts we have no defense against the enemy, we have no source of strength, we have no nourishment for our spirit! Without it we will dry up and be of no influence for the Lord.

Child of God, begin a new week with a new desire to cultivate a heart that loves God’s Word! Will you make it a priority in your life?
