HOW’S YOUR HEART TOWARDS CHURCH?

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. Psalm 42:1

Unless there are people who are responding to the love of God as revealed in Christ and so are worshipping Him, the Church is not very important. –Blake

Many people will use one excuse or another why NOT to go to church. They say it’s old fashioned, it’s irrelevant, the pastor is pushy, the pastor is dry, the pastor’s wife is stuck up, the people aren’t friendly, or the one that makes absolutely no sense at all… it’s full of hypocrites. Whatever reason you give to not go to church will expose what’s in your heart!

Here’s a better idea when it comes to your church attendance, make reasons why to go to church. How about my walk with Jesus is more important, my kid’s spiritual walk is more important, and most of all honoring my Saviour is worth more!

GET UP, GET READY, and GO TO CHURCH THIS MORNING!

LEARN MORE ABOUT JESUS

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. Psalm 42:1

With tears in their eyes, one asked, “How do I learn more about Jesus?” My answer is simple; GET UP, GET READY, and GO TO CHURCH!

Is your heart panting to be with the Saviour this morning?

More, more about Jesus, More, more about Jesus; More of His saving fullness see,

More of His love who died for me.

WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST DESIRE?

Whatever you greatest desire is will be what defines you as a person.

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Psalm 27:4

David’s desire was to dwell with the Lord forever! With this desire in focus it caused Him to seek after the things of God. It caused Him to make provision for the things of God. It caused Him to obtain the things of God; love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.

What is your greatest desire this morning? Is it to finish High School? Is it to finish college? Is it to find a spouse? It is to be on your own? Is it to get a new car? Is it to be debt free? Is it to see souls saved? I am reminded of Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
