Door

PLEASE DON’T SHUT THE DOOR!

When you say a situation or a person is hopeless, you are slamming the door in the face of God. –Allen

For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. Psalm 38:15

Growing up Mom and Dad always asked, “Were you born in a barn?” I always wanted to say, “What, don’t you know? You WERE there!” But, I had better sense! Many years have passed and I went through the stage of asking my kids the very same thing. Now, I am kind of looking forward to asking Grandkids!

But when it comes to the Lord, DON’T SHUT THE DOOR! Don’t shut Him out of your life by not giving Him a chance to work in and through you! Don’t give up on Him! Shout like David, ”For in thee, O LORD, do I hope:”

Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: Proverbs 24:3

Have you ever been working on something and run into a problem? Maybe you didn’t calculate correctly on the cost. Maybe you didn’t plan for something and in the mist of the project it became a problem. Maybe you didn’t program a thermostat the right way when you originally set it up and well it took you an hour to figure it out…..yep been there done that!

Well if we quit in the middle of the project, who would finish it? Who would get more money, get the finishing supplies or in my case—reprogram the stat? No-one! Sometimes we have to go through the door of adversity in order to learn some valuable lessons!
