Relationship

Mama, I love you...

We need to say I love you as often as we can, especially when someone doesn’t expect it.

Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) Ephesians 6:2

We never know what tomorrow may bring; famine, abundance, success, peril, life, or death comes with the next blink of the eye. James says, “Life is like a vapour… that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” With this thought in mind, we ought to tell those we care about we love them often!

Tell Mom and Dad, “I love you!” Tell your son or daughter, “I love you!” Let a brother or sister in Christ know you love them! Let that aunt or uncle know you love them! More importantly let the Lord know you love Him...If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15

JUST GIVE ME MY SWEET TEA!

When you taste and seen the Lord, nothing else satisfies!

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalm 34:8

A few years ago, after a long day at work, I went to MY refrigerator to get a glass of tea. My wife’s sister and brother-in-law had come over for dinner. I opened the fridge, grabbed the jug, poured me a BIG ole glass, turned it up, and went to guzzling. YUCK! Who put unsweet tea in MY fridge???? Well, to make this story short, my wife had made my brother-in-law the pitcher of tea. But since then He has been converted! He’s a sweet tea man now!

You may ask, “What in the world does this have to do with the Christian life?” When you have tasted and seen what the Lord can do for you the fake imitations of this world will not satisfy! No matter what you try to substitute that relationship with nothing else satisfies like having a relationship with the Lord!

Relationships come in all sorts and sizes. They may be wrapped in some pretty paper, a nice paint job, a fat pay check, a gallon jug, or a great figure. They may even bring happiness for a while, but the joy that comes when you have tasted and seen the real deal, the Lord Jesus…NOTHING tastes the same! Not even sweet tea!
