Proverbs 6:20-23, My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
` There are benefits of following Jesus. We don’t follow and obey for the benefits, we follow and obey the Word because we love Him. Do you ever open a conversation with someone only to share Christ? That is what we are to be doing church. We are to be obedient to the Word; building bridges in order to see that family member, that co-worker, that drunk on the street come to know Jesus as Saviour. It is in our obedience that we show we truly love Him!
