Dying

SEEING AND SEIZING ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS

Do not suppose opportunity will knock twice at your door. -Chamfort

Acts 26:28, Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

Paul saw opportunities around him quite often to share Jesus. The difference between Paul and many Christians today is that Paul seized the opportunity to tell them. One of such instances was when Paul had been taken to Rome to stand trial after he had appealed to Rome since he was a Roman citizen.

Paul was not a respecter of persons. He didn’t care if you were rich or poor, a King or Barbarian, Paul saw the spiritual need of their wicked hearts and seized the opportunity to share with them all Jesus.

Do we just see the need around us? Do we walk by people every day not seeing that they are hurting? Do we ignore there are some around us that need help? Do we see the lost but keep our mouths shut?

Lord, help us today to not only see the need of the lost, dying, and hurting world. Help us today to seize the opportunity to share the Good News of the Gospel for they are not guaranteed tomorrow.

JUST A SIMPLE THANK YOU WILL DO!

When is the last time you gave a little praise to someone?

He who sincerely praises God will soon discover within his soul an inclination to praise goodness in his fellow man. --Oliver G. Wilson

And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. Luke 17:14-16

Someone holds the door open for you, do you say thank you? Someone says, “Have a blessed day”, do you say thank you? God sends a special blessing your way, do you offer Him praise? What keeps us from taking a moment to say thank you? God isn’t too busy for us we shouldn’t be too busy for Him or the lost, hurting, and dying in this world!

Why are you living?

Make sure the thing you're living for is worth dying for. –Mayes

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Psalm 27:4

Enough is said in the chorus of the song, “Because He Lives”:

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!.......What are you living for…is it worth dying for?
