Righteousness

RIGHTEOUSNESS

One of our greatest tasks is to demonstrate to the young people of this generation that there is nothing stupid about righteousness. -Tozer

Proverbs 14:34, Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

The greatest thing we can pass on to the youth of our world is the knowledge of the Gospel. For it is by the Gospel that we receive His righteousness that we live by.

Friend, we can continue to give our youth a good education, a great work ethic, or the value of investing money but none of that will never make the difference like telling them about Jesus Christ! When they accept Him as Saviour and follow His will for their life, they will begin to impact this world in such as way that His righteousness will be seen! When He is seen, we are lifting Him up! When He is lifted up, Jesus said, “… if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

BE RIGHTEOUS

The things that are wrong with the country today are the sum total of all the things that are wrong with us as individuals. --Charles W. Tobey

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34

We enjoyed having Missionary Aaron Cruise and his wife Alicia with us yesterday evening. Alicia sang a couple of wonderful songs and Aaron shared their burden for America and Preached. During the message I was reminded of the above verse. I was reminded that before our country turns back to God there will be men and women in churches across our country that has already repented turning their hearts back to the God of the Bible. There will be many that have already trusted Jesus as Saviour.

What are we waiting for in America? What will it take before America totally turns back to God? Have you tasted the Good Grace of God? Have you forgotten what it’s like being in God’s will? Do you remember when God touched your heart causing you to rest in Him? Have you drifted so far away from God you think you can’t get back? I am thankful He gives second chances! Stop letting the Devil tell you a lie! God will forgive if you just ask! You can be righteous in Him!

MAKING THE COUNTRY BETTER

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34

You have heard it before; “So goes the home, so goes the country.” We often wonder why homes are falling apart. It’s really simple, with a country founded upon a Judeo Christian foundation, Satan hates it. So he attacks the home because he knows if he can destroy the family institution the nation itself will eventually fall.

This is just one of many reasons you and I should GET UP, GET READY, and GO TO CHURCH THIS MORNING—to help save our nation!

I'm Hungry!

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

Do you remember riding on a long trip telling your Mom and Dad, “I’m Hungry.” I remember their response, “Just a little longer and we will be there.” Boy that little longer was LONGER that what I wanted it to be!

From the day we are born we have had an appetite. We came forth crying wanting something to eat. Not much has changed. When we get hungry we start to cry out for something to fill our bellies with.

There is another appetite. This appetite can only be filled with the righteousness of God. Many try to fill it with sex, drugs, material wealth, fame, or fortune, only to come up still empty inside, constantly trying to fill the void.

Are you hungry? Why not partake of the good grace of God and be filled? The woman at the well of Samaria came to get water, she left full of the righteousness of God. Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. John 4:13-15
